• HCSD Registration Guide

    Welcome to the Hillsborough Schools Community! 

    We look forward to getting to know you and your family.  The information below will assist you in the registration process.  If you have any questions, please contact Margaux Mansfield.  

    • Residence EligiblityElementary school assignments are based on School Boundaries. All students within grades 6-8 attend Crocker Middle School.

    • Age  & Grade Level EligibilityChildren entering kindergarten must be five years old by September 1, 2020.

    • Current School Year Registration 
      • 2019-2020 - The registration process for new students that live within the boundaries of Hillsborough is ongoing.
      • 2020-2021 - Registration is now open for new students that live within the boundaries of Hillsborough.  The priority registration window for the 2020 - 2021 school year occurred in December 2019. 

    • Informational Tours (Fall 2020-2021)
      • Elementary School: Informational Tours for residents of Hillsborough are available in the Fall. (Date TBD)
      • Crocker Middle School: Informational Tour for residents of Hillsborough are available in the Fall. (Date TBD) 

    • Location and Hours of Registration
      • All Registrations are held at the Hillsborough City School District Office, 300 El Cerrito Avenue, Hillsborough.
      • Registration occurs between 8:30 AM -1:00 PM and 2:00 PM–4:00 PM.

    • Required Documents to register your child:
      1. Your child’s ORIGINAL birth certificate (or Passport)
      2. Your child’s completed immunization records/booklet
      3. A current water or PG & E bill
      4. Your current property tax bill or notarized lease agreement
      5. Auto insurance, last year’s taxes or home insurance

    Steps to Complete Registration Process

    STEP 1: Gather all required registration documents

    STEP 2: Bring all required regsitration documents to the Hillsborough City School District Office

    • Make sure to bring the ORIGINAL birth certificate
    • The priority registration window occurred in December 2019.  

    STEP 3: After the registrar has verified registration documents, you will recieve an email to complete the final process online through PowerSchool Registration

    • Please note, students are not offically registered until all information has been submitted through PowerSchool Registration.
