    Fire Alarm Upgrade: Our Fire Alarm System Project is currently in the design initiation phase. New systems will be installed at the District Office during summer 2026.

    Emergency Power Remediation: As part of the safety and security of all campuses, HCSD is purchasing mobile emergency generators that can be used on any campus in the case of an extended power outage. Generator purchase date is TBD.

    HCSD District Office Renovation: Renovations include more professional learning spaces for staff as well as conference spaces for both staff and community. Heating and air conditioning units will also be upgraded during this project. The project start date is TBD.

    Security Camera and Safety Programs: HCSD partnered directly with Verkada Security Systems and has installed security cameras on all campuses and at the District Office. Additionally, ActVNet First Responder Access was also completed, improving security and rapid response during emergencies.

    UPS Upgrades: The District replaced its Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with network technology to provide critical power backup for each site to keep the network functioning and allow it to safely be powered down despite power failures.
