    Fire Alarm Upgrade: Fire Alarm System Project is currently in the design initiation phase. New systems will be installed at the District Office during summer 2025.

    Emergency Power Remediation: As part of the safety and security of all campuses, HCSD is purchasing mobile emergency generators that can be used on any campus in the case of an extended power outage. Generators will be purchased in summer 2025.

    HCSD District Office Renovation: Renovations include more professional learning spaces for staff as well as conference spaces for both staff and community. Heating and air conditioning units will also be upgraded during this project. Work is anticipated to begin in 2027.

    Security Camera Pilot Program: HCSD is working directly with Verkada Security Systems to install security cameras on all campuses and at the District Office. Cameras will be installed at the District Office (including the maintenance yard) in winter 2025.

    UPS Upgrades: The District replaced its Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with network technology to provide critical power backup for each site to keep the network functioning and allow it to safely be powered down despite power failures.
