Multi-Purpose Room: WRNS have submitted the plans to the Department of State Architect in August 2024 and are awaiting comments. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2025.
Fire Alarm Upgrade: Our Fire Alarm System Project is currently in the design initiation phase. New systems will be installed on the West Campus during the summer of 2025.
Security Camera Pilot Program: HCSD is working directly with Verkada Security Systems to install security cameras on all campuses and at the District Office. The expected timeline for installation is in the spring of 2025.
West Sewer Pipe: The long needed replacement of the West sewer line will take place concurrently with the construction of the MPR, as the locations of both projects overlap one another. This project ensures West School's infrastructure's safety, efficiency, and reliability, providing an optimal learning environment for our students.
Completed
Roofing and HVAC: New roofing has been installed across the North campus with the addition of new heating and air conditioning units. This timing could not have been better with the exceptionally hot days in October 2024.
Marquee Board: A new Marquee Board was installed during the summer of 2024. The new Marquee Board is completely electronic so staff and parent volunteers are able to make changes to the messaging electronically. The Marquee Board is the same type and style that is used by the Town of Hillsborough allowing for consistency should any emergency messaging be needed across the town.
Classroom Technology: During the summer of 2023, SmartBoards were deployed into each classroom on the North campus. All teachers received training on using the new SmartBoards and implementation is taking place across all classrooms.
UPS Upgrades: The District replaced its Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with network technology to provide critical power backup for each site to keep the network functioning and allow it to safely be powered down despite power failures.
